What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Development Engineer position at Rotex Global, LLC?

Rotex, a world leader in industrial separation equipment, is seeking to fill a position for a Development Engineer in our Product Development group at our Cincinnati, OH plant. The Product Development Engineer will be responsible for developing new products that support the Rotex business strategy. This person will utilize the product development stage gate process to meet delivery commitments and bring new products to market in a timely manner.  What you’ll do: Leads new product development projects utilizing the Rotex stage gate process. Executes stage tasks and gate deliverables on time. Coordinates efforts across multiple functional areas. Identifies critical design process steps that lack proper documentation and leads efforts to create the necessary materials for the organization. Prepares and delivers technical presentations to customers. Interfaces with suppliers and customers on negotiations Other duties may be assigned Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in an engineering discipline; and a minimum of 4 years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in product design/development. Proficiency in CAD (2D & 3D) Strong skills in 3D modeling, simulation and ERP software and Microsoft Office applications Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes Good working knowledge of project management techniques Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes Preferred Qualifications: SolidWorks experience ANSYS experience Understanding of sheet metal fabrication and welding Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate Who we are: Rotex pioneered the dry separation industry and grew to become a global manufacturer of industrial separation equipment, becoming a subsidiary of Hillenbrand, Inc. in 2011.
