Rothman Ortho is looking for a Financial Counselor to join our team! The Financial Counselor is responsible for maintaining communication with patients, facilities, insurance companies, and physicians on the patient liability prior to surgical procedures. Job Title: Financial Counselor
Hours: Mon - Fri: 8am - 4:30pm
Location: 833 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA

must train on-site for first 3 months

will work remotely after training
Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED minimum education requirement

One (1) year of medical billing experience required

Must have strong communication skills

Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office
Responsibilities:
-
Maintains contact with patients on out of pocket costs, self pay fees, deductibles, and co-insurance on surgeries.

Maintains contact with insurance companies on patient costs for surgeries.

Sustains open communication with physicians on status of patient surgeries.

Corrects and updates patient demographic information.

Corrects and updates patient insurance information.

Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
