What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Engineering position at Rotork?

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, working collaboratively as part of a high performing team, you will build your engineering skills, competencies and knowledge of Rotork’s processes and standards. You will be expected to actively participate in:

Development of core and custom engineered products

New feature requests and product enhancements

Development of new innovative products

Solving problems with new technology introduction

Collaborating with key project and business stakeholders

Delivering high quality solutions using continuous improvement tools and techniques 

You will need to be proactive with a willingness to learn. 

You will be hands on and driven to ensure the delivery of all activities in line with agreed deadlines.


Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Ability to apply basic principles of analyzing, designing, testing, debugging, and enhancing existing/new products used in an embedded application.

Understanding of the basic principles of design and development using structured design techniques.

Experience of the Microsoft toolset for technical documentation.

Willingness to travel.

Clear and effective communication skills, able to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working in a 3 dimensional CAD environment to create parts and assemblies.

Experience applying GD&T in order to communicate features critical to the design

Mechanical aptitude for designing, developing and problem solving

A team player that shares knowledge and insights, but also able to demonstrate a strong level of initiative.

Understanding of information processing fundamentals.

Can effectively communicate technical information with a non-technical audience when required.

Ability to adapt style to contribute to team performance.

Works effectively with people across a wide range of disciplines and levels (both internal and external resources).

Supports and encourages positive working behaviors in others.
