SUMMARY
Fabricate wooden crates for cartons of moulding to be shipped.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Operate lift truck to move crates and wood material.
- Safely operator circular saws and nail guns.
- Must be able to follow crate-closing procedure.
- Band and close finished crates of material.
- Use computer to print labels to go on units of material.
- Record on the production report material that is packaged.
- Obtain and place correct labels on material after it is packaged.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
- Maintain level of quality consistent with established standards.
- Comply with established safety rules.
- Comply with company policy and procedures.
- Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, lead, supervisors and managers.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned to the satisfaction of supervisor and/or lead.

- Education/Knowledge
Less than high school education, or up to one month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Communication
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, and is regularly exposed to airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration from use of the air powered staple gun.
