Royal Community Supports is looking for a self-motivated, energetic Direct Support Professional to support an individual who lives in Glen Rock, NJ

Individual living in Glen Rock seeking energetic, creative, and experienced DSP support. The ideal candidate will have experience helping someone create a meaningful daily routine both in and outside the home. Applicants should be community-minded, enjoy working with individuals who learn differently, and will jump at the opportunity to take a person's interests and from that, create a life. A good sense of humor and an interest in new things are a must, as is the ability to support someone with physical needs to remain safe and stable. Initially, support will occur in the home with parents present, and once a solid working relationship is created, will gradually extend to the community. Exp with seizure disorders a plus. Serious inquiries only - this person is looking for the right match, and the right match will be someone who is looking for a meaningful job. Hours may vary, but generally, looking for M-F 12 PM - 7 PM and Saturdays - if you think you are the right match but the schedule might need an adjustment, let's talk!

Schedule of Services:

Monday-Friday: 12pm-7pm and saturdays

Qualifications:

• Must be able to recognize that disability is a label and not a description

• Staff need to be open minded and come with a positive attitude
• Staff must remember that you are working for a person and not a label
• Must be 18 years old or older
• Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a car
• Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
• Must be willing to have a background check
• Must be be willing to take a drug screening
• Must be authorized to legally work in the United States

Starting Pay Rate:$15 per hour (Increases to $16 after successful 6 months)
