Responsibilities/Qualifications

A senior living facilty in Royal Oak is looking for a Director. The Senior Living Director is responsible for overall leadership, management and success of their departments. The departments overseen will be marketing, dining, maintenance and housekeeping. These responsibilities include but are not limited to financial management, hiring, supervising, training, team member relations and recognition, communication, family services, resident well-being, quality assurance and regulatory compliance. The Director is expected to create a positive atmosphere in the community for residents, family and friends, and all team members.

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Experience managing in a senior living facility
  2. College degree preferred; degree and management experience may be required per state requirements
  3. Previous sales experience preferred
  4. Previous management experience including hiring, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision and discipline
  5. Demonstration of success in managing operating expenses, focused on growing both top and bottom lines
  6. Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and delegate responsibilities to the appropriate individuals
  7. Excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations
  8. Proficient in organizational, time management skills
  9. Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
  10. Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Develops a thorough working knowledge of state regulations, policies and procedures dictated for residents; ensures compliance
  2. Ensures all resident administrative files are well maintained, current and in compliance with state regulations
  1. Expresses expectations both verbally and in writing
  2. Perceived as fair and consistent by team members
  3. Is an advocate for both residents and team members
  1. Meets the financial targets with the goal to maximize the capital partners return
  1. Prepares and adheres to the community budget
