What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT/Computer Technician position at Royal Plus?
We are seeking a motivated and proactive IT Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a go-getter with a strong ability to stay focused on projects, take initiative, and maintain excellent records of our IT assets, while working with our 3rd party IT Company. The IT Technician will be responsible for setting up new employees with mobile devices (phones, aircards, jetpacks) laptops, becoming familiar with and troubleshooting company programs, and ensuring our IT infrastructure runs smoothly. This position reports to the corporate Snow Hill office and is not a work from home position.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses. Track and update inventory regularly, while working with our 3rd party IT Company and wireless providers (Verizon and AT&T).
- Employee Onboarding: Set up new employees with necessary IT equipment, including mobile devices, mobile applications, computers, and access to company systems. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and users are trained on its use.
- Troubleshooting: Assist with 3rd part IT Company in providing technical support and troubleshoot issues related to company programs, hardware, and software, lost/stolen devices. Resolve problems promptly to minimize downtime. Sometimes after hours
- Project Focus: Stay focused on assigned projects and see them through to completion. Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Initiative: Assist in identifying potential improvements in IT processes and infrastructure. Proactively suggest and implement solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency, while working with our 3rd party IT company.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of IT procedures, solutions, expenses and configurations. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with Team members and 3rd party IT Company to ensure seamless IT operations. Communicate effectively with non-technical staff to address their IT needs.
- Security: Assist in implementing and maintaining IT security measures to protect company data and systems. Follow best practices for data security and privacy.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to stay focused on projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with company-specific programs and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Experience with IT asset management software is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require occasional after-hours work or on-call support.
- Must be able to lift and transport IT equipment as needed.
- This position requires possible travel to our locations.
Salary : $37,000 - $46,900
