Position Summary
The role is a key contributor to the business working as the conduit between the Senior Leadership team and the Sales and Execution Team. The Regional Sales Director is responsible for overseeing the Sales and Execution of our Wine and Spirits Portfolio by providing leadership and strategic guidance to our Sales Team. This role would also play a pivotal role in the Distributor Management component of our business - Wiring directly to Leadership inside our Distributors to drive Share of Mind. In addition to the Sales and Execution Focus, this role would play a part in the Brand Partner Management side of the business – Maintaining relationships and leading portions of the Quarterly Review Process.
Forecasted Mix of Time Spent
Provide Leadership to our Sales and Execution Team (60%):
- Daily and Weekly communication across the Sales Team to drive focus/engagement against Brand KPIs.
- Providing Coaching and Development by working with our Sales Team in the Market
- Managing the alignment of execution with distributor counterparts
- Building and Implementing Strategy to engage with Regional/National Chains across the East Coast.
- For large regional accounts, participant in key buyer meetings and business review
- Participant in key survey periods around periods to win (i.e. Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Winter holidays)
- Participant in key blitz or focus periods and ensures accountability of objectives.
Communication/Feedback loop with Leadership Team (20% of time)
- Participant on weekly/bi-weekly team calls
- Participation in key marketing/trade/commercial planning feedback
- Chatter feedback to marketing and Leadership teams based on best in class execution and key competitive items or promotions
- Weekly 1 on 1 with manager, communicates upwards any best practices or challenges around national strategy
- Provide Strategic Guidance around route to market, brand acquisitions, overall path forward
Brand Partner Engagement (10%)
- Participate in Brand Partner Meetings/Review to provide Brand Feedback and Performance Reviews within markets
- Engage with Brand Partners on Additional Support Required
- Provide Strategic Guidance to our Brand partners as it relates to Chain Strategy, Route to Market, Trade Marketing, Distributor Incentives, etc.
Distributor Engagement (10%):
- Sales leadership with distributors and markets in sales region
- Helps facilitate the relationship with Portfolio Managers/Leadership inside our distributors
- Host Meetings and Business Reviews to drive influence and share of mind
- Assist Sales Team on Presentations at Distributor General Sales Meetings
- Be the Voice for RPC Brands and for the Distributor and support our Sales and Execution Team to drive closer engagement with our distributor partners
Minimum Qualifications:
· Passion for People and Building Relationships
· Minimum 2 Years of Sales Experience
· Familiarity with the market and key accounts
· Demonstrated ability in customer management within specific territory
· Solid understanding of the three-tier distribution system
· Excellent communication skills articulate with strong public speaking ability / experience and excellent writing skills. Ability to persuade and influence.
· Solid Microsoft Office Skills
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- 4-year College Degree required.
- 4-5 years of Alcohol Beverage Experience, preferably with distributor management experience.
- Knowledge of key trade account buyers buying and promotional practices and operational procedures.
- Prior pricing experience.
- Experienced verbal and written presentation skills.
- History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
