What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Handler position at RPC Company?
The under the direction of the Lead, the Materials Handler operates a forklift to load and unload trucks. The Materials Handler is also responsible for accurately and timely counting, and correctly interpreting and executing picks tickets and delivery tickets. The Materials Handler also takes pictures of equipment, tags material, and audits and validates counts. The Materials Handler is also instrumental in ensuring EHS processes are being followed daily.
Essential Functions
1. Drive a Forklift to load and unload truck
2. Accurately and timely counts material
3. Correctly interprets and executes pick tickets and delivery tickets
4. Accurately and correctly identifies equipment
5. Responsible for taking pictures of equipment from multiple angles
6. Tags material
7. Audits and validate counts
8. Take and follow orders from Lead and communicates with Lead frequently
9. Coordinates with and instructs Yard Laborers to complete assigned jobs
10. Other duties as assigned
Secondary Functions
11. May participate as a member of the Safety Committee
12. Responsible for executing the yard’s safety plan
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not supervise.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
GED or equivalent
Salary : $20 - $22
