The Position: The Safety Specialist administers and functions as a resource for the health and safety program of RPM Living to aid in the establishment of a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities

 

  • Compliance
  • Training
  • Information collection
  • File retention
  • Audit safe work practices and documentation.
  • Administer leading indicator Incentive program

 

Motivates all employees to strive for an accident-free work environment and provides support across all departments to better enable employees to perform their jobs safely.

Assists in the collection data useful to the development of strategies and solutions to address reoccurring deficiencies across all facilities.

Conducts, in conjuncture with the Safety Manager and Facilities department, incident investigations to identify root causes of accidents and injuries.

Attends and participates in monthly facilities meetings to implement needed safety factors and topics.

Assist in driving the Risk Departments continuous improvement efforts across all sites.

Work with employees and achieve safety culture progression while maintaining positive and proactive relations with managers and employees.

Assists in the development and dissemination of safety training as needed.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 2 years EHS Experience
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Strong soft skills
  • Good communication & Presentation skills
  • Proven critical thinking & problem-solving skills

Employment with RPM Living is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and possessing a valid driver’s license.
