Job Description:
Design and provide architectural review of new Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes prior to their development, ensuring specifications are created and maintained. Analyze, design, and develop specifications of data integration components and applications. Lead the design, development, and modification of new ETL processes for business subject areas into the data warehouse ETL environments and processes. Collaborate with IT colleagues and stakeholders to translate business and functional requirements into detailed ETL technical design specifications, analyzing available technologies and recommending solutions. Analyze objectives for assigned technologies and recommend solutions. Analyze objectives for assigned project phases and recommend technical strategies and tactics to achieve business needs. Define and enforce standards and procedures for data warehouse and data mart ETL processes. Maintain existing data warehouse ETL environments and processes. Design, develop and maintain Unix scripts for ETL jobs and audit processes. Design and implement Unit and Integration test plans for Informatica mapping and sessions according to specification. Direct the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of the Informatica system. Advise application technologists and business partners on the use of ETL tools and processes, as well as the best approach for ETL with respect to new business subject areas. Manage MDM systems. Design, develop, manage, and monitor integrations between MDM platforms and source/target systems. Direct and perform the installation, upgrade, patching, and maintenance of real time data integration tools. Assist junior level resources (onshore and offshore) with department procedures, environment, and tools, utilities and development standards and protocols. Must be available 24/7/365 when dealing with critical production issues.
Required Skills
Minimum Requirements:
Employer requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in data management and data analytics.
Of the required experience, must have:
- 5 years of experience working with each of the following: Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Integration, Database Platforms, and Analytics platforms at an Enterprise level;
- 5 years of experience presenting solutions, programs, policies, procedures, and functions to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive management;
- 5 years of experience with analyzing, designing, developing, and testing solutions;
- 5 years of experience working with real time integration platforms;
- 5 years of experience working with manufacturing systems, warehousing systems, and sales compensation and CRM systems;
- 5 years of experience leading offshore technical development team members, manage, and coordinate resources;
- 5 years of experience with each of the following: Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle, and Unix; and
- 2 years of experience working with Master Data Management systems, including designing, developing, managing, and monitoring integrations between Master Data Management platforms and source/target systems.
Must also have experience in each of the following: Informatica Cloud, Informatica IDC, SQL, and DB2.
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
