Working with RR Move Co can be an ideal job for freelancers, students, for folks returning to careers - or for anyone who enjoys packing, organizing, and helping a very special demographic move into new homes.

This is a 1099 position where you select when you want to work from the shifts we have available. We encourage our contractors (AKA Move Magicians) to pick up at least 3 shifts per month to stay fresh on our practices and connected to the team. Shifts can be between 4-10 hours, but you will always be paid for a 4 hour minimum when you show up to a shift. Pay rate is $30/hour for our crew and $40/hr for leads.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED

· Reliable transportation and ability to commute to different job sites in the Seattle area

· Ability to handle physical workload (stamina to stand and bend for long periods, some light lifting – no truck loading or furniture moving required)

· Strong sense of organization

· Capacity to both complete work in a self-directed fashion and as follow directions as needed

Responsibilities

· Organize and label items in containers (or closets or storage spaces)

· Carefully and efficiently pack client belongings

· Support furniture placement, decorate

· Understand the importance of creating a safe and functional space for our senior clients

· Find and utilize space in a client’s new environment (including for storage needs)

· Facilitate the disposal, recycling or donation of unwanted or excess items

· Adhere to safety policies and procedures
