Senior Transportation Project Manager

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to be Roadway Manager for a large Highway Design Build Project in our Transportation-Infrastructure Practice. 

This position would be responsible for coordinating design, and delivering plans of transportation projects for CDOT.  Responsibilities will be to market and develop relationships with other governmental agency clients as well as assisting RS&H to help build the transportation engineering practice in Colorado. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Design/Build in addition to traditional work and works well with clients, engineers, and sub-consultants to ensure that their needs are met. Additional responsibilities include: serving as Project Manager for design-related projects, providing oversight and mentoring to our design associates, implementing quality programs for your projects and performing marketing efforts to fulfill the firm’s strategic objectives for the transportation practice. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's of Engineering degree from an accredited university
• 8 years of work experience within the field of highway design and transportation engineering
• Experienced with Design/Build transportation projects
• Good communication and relationship skills essential
• Expertise in transportation project implementation and business acumen in the successful delivery of projects
• Must have professional registration (PE) within the field of engineering with the ability to obtain a Colorado PE within 6 months
• Working knowledge of Highway Design programs (Bentley products)
• Experience as a leader of the profession of engineering within the community
• Ability to manage multiple professional projects, as well as, design teams, staff, and clients
• Experienced with business development

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing highway and roadway design, schematic design, and/or projects in Colorado
• Recent experience with and knowledge of CDOT policies and procedures
• Complex interchange design experience
• Previous experience as a project manager or as a senior member of a Program Management team
