Ideal candidate:
We are seeking compassionate experienced LPNs / Licensed Practical Nurses with NJ state licensure for contract LPN assignments to work within our client's facilities, providing follow-through of the physician-established plan of treatment and working under the supervision of the RN Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Provides exceptional service by meeting and/or exceeding customer expectations.
Creates a positive experience for patients, residents, coworkers, and guests.
Anticipates customer needs and proactively resolves issues.
Responds to customer and employee needs with courtesy, friendliness, concern and accuracy.
Implements basic nursing care and assists patients with activities of daily living.
Accurately collects patient data utilizing learned technical skills under the direction of the RN.
Collects blood specimens through venipuncture.
Collects pain data as indicated.
Provides appropriate interventions for pain.
Documents recollection of pain data as per hospital policy.
Provides patient/family education regarding pain. Notifies physician for unrelieved pain as indicated under the direction of an RN.
Reports and documents status of patient condition and patient care outcomes to RN.
Takes ownership, works smart, and constantly seeks to improve and streamline. Proactively offers ideas to minimize problems. Seeks innovative solutions for performing assigned tasks
Qualifications & Skills:
- Currently holds a valid New Jersey state LPN license
- IV certification preferred
- Graduate of an accredited program in Licensed Practical Nursing
- Proficiency in written and oral communication. Ability to work under the direction of an RN
- Ideally 1-2 years' experience in an acute or subacute setting or hospital setting
- At times must be willing and flexible to float to CNA or Tech competencies
- BLS (from American Heart Association) required
- Meets all state and federal requirements for US employment in a Nursing Facility
- Strong patient assessment skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated clinical competency
- EPIC (EMR) experience preferred
- Must have COVID vaccination card with booster
