FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt
Position Summary
RSekure is seeking a strong, security-focused DevOps Engineer to join an Agile team in a fast-paced environment. This role supports software development efforts throughout the software lifecycle. The successful candidate is a dynamic self-starter with the aptitude to solve technical challenges and is capable of adapting to new technologies. This role has potential for on-call support for operational needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Working in an Agile team environment to design, implement, and test build processes in support of the entire software lifecycle
- Create and present system design documentation and participate in design reviews for new build processes
- Configure and maintain CI/CD pipeline to deploy code using Git/Jenkins
- Implement and maintain system monitoring tools/metrics to ensure the health of all services
- Support the team in the creation and maintenance of SOP documentation
- Ensure users are provided efficient and timely support to incidents and service requests
- Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period
- Monitor RSekure email on a regular basis, at least 3 times per week, and respond accordingly
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Critical Skills
- Experience with incident and problem management
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems in web-based distributed systems
- Experience in implementing and/or developing solutions to monitor software systems
- Experience with development in a Linux environment
- Experience in one of the Cloud Computing Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCE)
- Familiarity with SQL, Oracle, MySQL
- Experience with software test suites, CI/CD pipelines, and automated software build and test
- Experience with PKI, Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation)
- Experience with any scripting languages
Stand-out Qualifications
- Experience developing in multiple object-oriented programming languages (Ruby, Java)
- Experience with AWS CLI, AWS, CDK, or AWS SDK
- Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, application development, and/or web application development and deployment role
Certifications, Licenses
- DevOps (AWS Certified, Microsoft Certified) or other relevant cyber certifications are a bonus
Special Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with a Full-Scope polygraph
Work Environment
Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.
Physical Demands
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
