The primary responsibility of the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Coordinator is to accurately administer CPE credits for Learning & Professional Development (LPD) sponsored training as well as external training, local office training, office-sponsored training and training offered to non-employees. This role will ensure compliance documentation is appropriately filed for each event, as well as retain the proper documentation supporting CPE credit granted.
Essential Duties:
- Administers CPE credits for LPD sponsored training as well as external training, local office training, office sponsored training and training offered to non-employees. This includes:
- Adhering to the quality processes and procedures defined to award the proper amount of CPE credit
- Calculating, auditing and editing the amount of CPE credit awarded, based on a set of rules
- Working efficiently and consistently to issue CPE credit
- Running or reproducing standardized reports to review and/or audit CPE data, editing or adjusting reports or data sets as appropriate
- Files training event documentation for archival, document retention, and future audit purposes. This will include but is not limited to: AICPA Peer Review, PCAOB Inspections, State Board CPA Audits and Legal matters.
- Accurately administers data entry in learning management system for firm required training.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
- Associates degree or equivalent experience, preferred
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
Required – ability to:
- Read and understand information presented in writing
- Evaluate information against a set of standards
- Work with and understand basic reporting technology such as excel or datasheets.
- Read and apply rules, regulators, policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with NASBA contract terms, policies and procedures, etc.
- Communicate information clearly and concisely, in writing
- Develop and maintain applicable professional and internal contacts, resources and networks
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in a compliance related role, preferred
