What are the responsibilities and job description for the CQRM Manager position at RSM?
This role is a member of the Consulting Quality and Risk Management team within the National Office of Risk Management (NORM). Position assists in addressing quality, risk management, and professional standards matters in the RSM US LLP consulting practice.
Essential Duties:
- Consult with client service team personnel in evaluating and responding to significant risk matters affecting clients and/or services we provide to the client including:
- Review and negotiation of engagement contracts with our commercial and public sector client base, including client agreements, non-disclosure and business associate agreements, subcontracts and other related documents related to our practice.
- Review of requests for commercial and public sector proposals and development and maintenance of compliance plans for public sector projects.
- Support the development of practice aids (checklists, outlines, templates, etc.) for use by our practitioners in addressing professional standards and quality and risk management matters in day-to-day client service.
- Assist in the ongoing development of, and support of, our Consulting Practice quality review and inspection programs.
- Research and draft internal guidance regarding professional standards, quality and risk management and related matters.
- Oversee and review work of rotational and other resources assisting with Consulting Quality matters. May serve as a Career Advisor for team members.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree – Required
- Juris Doctorate – Required
- CPA- Preferred
Technical/Soft Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including interviewing and listening skills – Required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools – Required
- Ability to identify gaps in or revisions to existing operational policies and practices – Required
- Ability to apply sound professional judgement and skepticism and maintain objectivity in responding to significant risk events – Required
Experience:
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience - Required
- Prior experience in a professional services consulting practice - Preferred
