What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Acceleration Associate position at RSM?
Events and Sponsorship support – Participates in the execution of local conferences, trade shows and sponsorships, and RSM produced events:
- Based on direction from marketing professional, aligns activation of program with for program goals and timing outlined for the event focusing on key messages, advancing our brand market position, driving engagement and advancing relationships with clients and focus prospects
- Identifies and recommends ways to improve and position RSM using best practices and efficiencies gained from prior experience and/or marketing acceleration team input
- Collaborates and communicates within marketing acceleration team as well as marketing professionals, digital marketing & audience engagement practice, marketing production, editorial, market insights and other IMC centers of excellence and resources needed to execute on program
- Manages all aspects of program from initiation, milestones to reporting within project management system
- Ensures follow-up is taking place post-program working with marketing professional
- Assess and summarize program results against stated goals and prepare for communication with broader stakeholdergroup
- If required, ensure ads are collected, documented and followed up on as agreed to planning pre-program, including coordination and activation with demand generation as needed
- Ensures debrief has taken place with marketing professional for best practices and lessons learned from program execution
- Ability to provide on-site support, as needed
- Develops and maintains relationships with program-related vendors from sourcing to activation to payment
- Ensures invoices are approved and submitted in a timely manner and is aware of the total program budget
- Manages the process for events offering CPE credit including collection of presentations, review/approval process, document preparation, processing of and sending certificates
Campaign and program development: Participates in the execution of marketing campaigns and programs including direct mail, email, etc.
- Supports initial discovery and research to find proper resources to aid in the development of campaigns ensuring alignment with national LOB, industry and IMC strategies
- Aligns program/campaigns with identified marketing and business strategy focusing on relevancy of positioning, key messages and adherence to brand guidelines and necessary compliance and legal requirements
- Coordinates and manages the execution of marketing program/campaign from initiation, milestones to reporting within project management system
- Ensures follow-up is taking place post-campaign working with marketing professional
- Assess and summarize campaign results against stated goals and prepare for communication with broader stakeholder group
- If required, ensure leads are collected, documented and followed up on as agreed to in planning pre-campaign, including coordination and activation with demand generation (delivery of campaign profile form and list), as needed
- Ensures debrief has taken place with marketing professional for best practices and lessons learned from campaign execution
- Collateral and content development: Participates in the execution local advertising, collateral and content
- Facilitates the execution of content with editorial and marketing professionals focusing on project management to help ensure timely completion while developing understanding of the intent of the content, positioning and key messages
- Coordinates and manages the execution of advertising, collateral and content from initiation, milestones to reporting within project management system, as needed
- For local collateral execution (i.e. placemats), ensures alignment with national LOB, industry and IMC goals and strategies and ensures compliance with all firm brand, regulatory and compliance standards
CRM support: Supports the creation and maintenance of campaigns and marketing lists within CRM as it relates to the projects assigned to the associate, including:
- Creation and maintenance of campaigns, campaign responses, and marketing lists in support of campaigns
Creation and maintenance of accounts, contacts, leads and activities, including:
- Associating opportunities and activities with campaigns
Creating and using reporting on campaigns
- Utilizing list bump process within a campaign or event for analysis and connection back to targets and/or goals
- Conducting research projects aimed at enhancing target data and capturing it appropriately in CRM
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years of equivalent experience
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
- Must exhibit an exceptional client service attitude, possess outstanding people skills and take a proactive approach in working with employees
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple programs simultaneously through to completion
- Ability to work effectively through communication and collaboration with all levels of employees
- Building comfort level to influence peers and internal clients to achieve objectives
- Operate with a sense of urgency and collaborates with team lead to prioritize work plans and tasks to meet agreed upon timeframes and objectives
- Precise attention to detail
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
- Ability to utilize project management systems such as BaseCamp or WorkFront
- Ability to utilize Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Ability to learn other platforms such as CRM
- Strengthening skills in business writing
- Strengthening analytical skills to provide insight and best practices for improving marketing programs based on results/data
- Understanding of key issues, industries, lines of business and geographies that are within the firm
