Job Overview:
The Telecom Foreman plays a pivotal role in overseeing the installation and maintenance of telecommunication systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and communication for our clients. Your role involves supervising and leading a team of skilled technicians in the execution of projects, from planning and deployment to ongoing maintenance.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks (previously named Roles, Responsibilities and Tasks):
- Understands the scope of drawings and proceeds with work from plans and specifications
- Demonstrates the ability to supervise others in their work performance
- Directs and works with journeymen and helpers
- Plans work and is responsible for materials and tools
- Installs all work effectively, completely and in a neat and workmanlike manner
- Troubleshoots all telecommunication systems
- Monitors progress of work
- Does layout work from blueprints, shop drawings and schematics
- All phases of telecom construction such as rough cabling above/below grade, all types of backbone distribution, MDF/IDF construction, termination and testing of copper and fiber cabling systems
- Performs work at various heights, up to 100’ from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks or other safe work areas
- Works in restricted areas such as switchgear rooms, manholes, utility tunnels and vaults, crawl spaces and attics
- Communicates effectively with all persons and parties involved with a project as necessary to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of assignments
- Evaluates fellow employees of a lesser skill level

Rex Moore pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employees knowledge, experience and skill level.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Regularly required to talk in order to communicate detailed and accurate information

- Regularly required to stand, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch, throughout the day, for long and short periods of time
- Regularly required to walk for long and short distances in order to accomplish job tasks
- Regularly required to reach: ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) including reaching in front of body, at shoulder level and above head
- Regularly required to push and pull. Use upper extremities to press against objects with steady force and exerting force in order to draw, haul, tug, or move objects and materials between locations
- Regularly required to lift, raise objects from lower to higher positions or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position
- Regularly required to use fingers and hands in repetitive and non-repetitive motion: twisting, picking, pinching, touching, grasping tools and material equipment and other objects
- Ability to see with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
