National company based in Salem, OR has an immediate opening for a Project Manager. This is a full-time management level position within the company.

* We are an asset management company. We inspect, appraise, recover/repossess, and remarket/resale commercial equipment nationwide.

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful completion of a wide variety of assignments and projects. The Project Manager is experienced in all aspects of the business and can temporarily step into any role, manage a department, or complete projects in a professional, timely manner and within the budget provided. The Project Manager will ensure all assignments and projects are executed in a way that improves the company’s performance and meets company goals.

This is an exciting hands on environment. Position requires occasional travel throughout the US.

Duties

  • Willing and able to learn all aspects of the business including site specifics, roles and responsibilities, policies and processes, laws, flow of work, etc. Update and maintain this knowledge on an ongoing basis.
  • Learn and maintain a working knowledge or RTR clients and primary contacts
  • Coordinate internal and external resources for the successful execution of assignments/projects.
  • Keep all parties informed regarding progress, risks, challenges, changes, timeliness and results.
  • Flexible and accepts all assignments with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Ensure that all assignments & projects are completed on-time, within the agreed upon goals and budget, and with a high attention to detail.
  • Manages department staff, provides coaching and support to ensure the work is done timely and accurately.
  • Ensures department processes are followed and quality and timely work is being done by staff
  • Work closely with HR in regards to hiring, firing, coaching, training and counseling staff if needed
  • Use resources and company knowledge to operate in assigned role.
  • Interact with manager of the department to ensure all job duties are being completed accurately and timely
  • May travel to our other locations or to other states in the country to complete project work
  • May develop the scope of the project, including objectives, with the help of all relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate and support other department managers
  • Encourage and participate in facilitation of RTR’s growth and development
  • Acquire and maintain excellent computer skills in operating all RTR systems that facilitate the work of the position, department or are needed to support a given project.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
  • Actively seek out training regarding business operations.
  • Report and escalate issues to manager as appropriate
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related projects.
  • Exhibits exemplary customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
  • Positively responds to inquiries and requests for information in a timely, professional manner with accurate and relevant information.
  • Consistently conveys information in an objective manner.
  • Ability to proactively ask questions, explain processes, and inform others of changes or pertinent information.
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree in Business, Management or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 years of management experience required.
  • Computer literate. Must have excellent MS Office Suite skills including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must have experience with other proprietary systems. CRM experience a plus.
  • Able to travel nationwide for two to seven days on occasion to complete projects.
  • Ability to drive 24’ box truck when needed.
  • DOT card required.

Other

May work in an office environment or field environment depending on the project. The employee may be on a plane, driving a box truck, or operating a forklift. The job may require sitting for up to 8 hours at a time. The position requires frequent reaching, grasping and fine manipulation. Must possess good manual dexterity; can sit, stand, kneel, and squat frequently; and be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs occasionally. It requires the ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. The person may be in tight spaces, need to be down on the ground and working at unique angles when working with equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
