Duties & Responsibilities
- Treat all people in contact with the highest level of professionalism.
- Maintain professional appearance in accordance with the Company’s dress code and conduct policies.
- Attend ongoing training in the areas of customer service, administrative tasks, operational tasks, computer, and product knowledge.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.
- Direct customers to various individuals throughout the company.
- Provide answers for product arrivals and estimations to customers.
- Assist customers in making payments on purchases.
- Process customer requests for available financing options.
- Reconcile and close out transactions daily.
- Utilize available resources to meet customer requests.
- Continually work and update customers on their open orders regarding product status, delays, and other pertinent information utilizing store reports and resources.
- Assist in maintaining positive and clean presentation of the office and showroom floor.
- Positive force within the customer relations team.
- Uphold company values, policies, and procedures.
Skills
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to handle answering and distributing phone calls.
- Willingness to absorb new knowledge and details regarding the Home Furnishings industry.
- Proficient in the use of store computer and retail software systems.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office programs including MS Word and Excel.
Expectation
This is a hands-on role that works with customers on a day-to-day basis. Maintains the highest levels of service in support of the company mission statement and maintains the company's reputation and standing in the local business community. This includes exceeding customer expectations in quality, service and value. Build overall team rapport and operate with integrity.
