Overview:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The purpose of the Director of Replenishment is to manage and innovate the Replenishment Analyst’s processes and oversee all aspects of Replenishment. The Director of Replenishment will give direction, develop strategies, and improve efficiency of the current process with functions related to product selection, execution, and communication. All direction will be focused to support company merchandise strategy and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Buyers, Inventory Planners, and Sourcing to support driving sales, managing inventory, and achieving the financial goals of the department.
- Collaborate with Stores and Distribution Centers on product and order issues.
- Manage the process to maintain vendor and product information (style, SKU, pricing UPC, etc.) in our MFCS.
- Provide direction to set up new vendors, items, and initial orders for seasonal and/or basic programs.
- Monitor Purchase Orders (PO’s) for on-time shipping and fulfillment percentage and follow up with vendors as needed.
- Oversee the communication with stores on order points, PO issues, transfer requests, and other items as needed.
- Follow up on the execution and receipt of all new store orders.
- Collaborate with Store Planning on modifications to planograms (POG’s).
- Maintain strong knowledge of systems (Oracle, Allium, Latitude, etc.).
- Oversee configuration & process changes related to Phase 2, Phase 3, and inventory.
- Create and monitor orders for advertised items to maintain 98.5% in-stock.
- Prepare weekly ad hoc reporting and monthly advertising recaps for Buyers.
- Lead associates in a way that exemplifies the leadership principles taught in Rural King’s Thrive Leadership Program.
- Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- May be required to cross train and perform other duties.
- At least 10 years of retail experience, preferably in purchasing, inventory planning, or replenishment or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn Oracle systems.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
