Data Scientist

The Data Scientist provides meaningful insights (patterns, anomalies, etc.) to the business by
statistically analyzing large volume data sets and communicating the results. They will utilize data
science models, algorithms, machine learning, and other means to predict outcomes and analytics that
can be utilized by other applications within the organization. The Data Scientist will also use many
computer science skills to develop programs and navigate both on premise and cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for gathering information requirements, Data discovery, and exploratory analysis
• Responsible for acquiring data, processing it, filling gaps, and cleansing data
• Determine most appropriate models and algorithms for each specific data set
• Apply data science techniques such as machine learning, statistical modeling, or other appropriate
means to meet the business need
• Train and Evaluate models to ensure accuracy and performance of models. Maintain continuous
improvement by establishing and tuning its parameters
• Evaluate quality of predications that can be made from the models
• Responsible for building and sustaining the day-to-day relationships and communications with
business partners at various levels of the organization, Line of Business stakeholders, other team
members, as well as other internal and external resources
• Participate in regular Data Analytics team, project, and leadership meetings as needed
• Development of program artifacts for data analytics including compliance with existing enterprise
policies and standards

Basic Qualifications and Attributes:

• Minimum of two (2) years of combined experience and knowledge in: Python, SQL, Javascript
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Knowledge of data manipulation Python libraries like Pandas, Numpy, etc.
• Knowledge of data visualization Python libraries like Matplotlib, Seaborn, Folium, etc.
• Knowledge of machine learning libraries like Scikit-Learn, Scipy, Tensorflow, etc.
• Knowledge of relational databases or data warehouses
• Knowledge of one or more IDEs Visual Studio Code, Jupyter Notebooks, Anaconda, Spyder, Pycharm
• Familiarity with SAP data, OData, REST based APIs
• Understanding of CI-CD tools like Azure DevOps/GitHub
• Understanding of Azure cloud environment, Azure ML Studio and Azure core libraries
• Understanding of MLOps and various pipelines associated with the process
