Cook (Full Time)
Job Summary:
Performs all responsibilities related to cooking and serving food for patients, employees, cafeteria, meals on wheels and catered events (if needed). Supervises other cooks & production assistant. Preps food for the next day, along with grab and go items. Serves on patient and cafeteria line & replenishes items as needed. Follows regulatory guidelines for preparing and serving safe food. Maintains counters, equipment, utensils and work area in a clean and sanitary manner daily. Heavy lifting required. Subject to cold, heat, wetness, moving parts, electrical equipment and cleaning agents. Washes pots/pans/utensils/dishes according to established procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. Collects and disposes of trash. Keeps carts cleaned and sanitized. Performs organizing, straightening, cleaning, stocking, sweeping, mopping and trash removal.
Delivers and retrieves trays as needed according to policy. Fills and delivers floor stock as needed. Various cafeteria duties including serving, stocking and cleaning. Cross trains for other positions.
Full time with benefits
Hours vary 7 days a week between 5a-1:30p and 9:30a-6p
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Four years experience required in a high volume setting. Knowledge of working with fryer, steamer, ovens, grill, slicer, etc.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: ServSafe Certification Preferred
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: General knowledge of kitchen equipment.
