Position: HR Coordinator

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Type: Contract

Rate: $25 - $30/hr

Job Description:

The HR Coordinator will play a key role in supporting various HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance. This position requires a high level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Prepare and distribute new hire paperwork and ensure completion and accuracy.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide support on HR-related matters.
  • Assist in resolving employee issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support the HR team in audits and compliance reviews.
  • Maintain HR databases and generate reports as needed.
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs.
  • Coordinate HR events and training sessions.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a coordinator or assistant capacity.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with HR software (e.g., HRIS systems) is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Rate/Salary: $25 - $30/hr
