Job description
Russo’s on the Bay is seeking qualified Valet Drivers. Individuals with strong work ethic who is honest, responsible, energetic and polite. Our Valet are typically the first interaction guests experience and the last person to say goodbye. For these reasons, a warm, hospitable personality is essential.
As a Valet Driver, your primary responsibility is to assist in the parking and retrieving of guest`s vehicles.
Additionally, being a part of the valet team entails assisting guests with their luggage, provide directions, call for taxi and provide any other assistance the guests may need. The Valet plays an integral role in the luxury experience that Russo’s On the Bay provides.
Qualified candidates must have a clean driving record, a New York State license and be open to working on weekends, mandatory holidays and throughout the evening/night.
Valet Attendant Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guest to the establishment and offer professional valet services.
- Direct traffic in the parking area as needed and assist guests in entering and leaving the parking lot.
- Answer guests' questions regarding local directions, amenities, and other available services.
- Collect and accurately label keys belonging to guests to ensure their proper return.
- Park guests' vehicles in predetermined areas within the parking lot, following all traffic laws.
- Operate vehicles safely and responsibility
- When it is slow you will also assist with food running.
Valet Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 2-3 years driving experience.
- Valid personal car insurance is required.
- Ability to communicate professionally.
- Customer service experience and friendly demeanor
- Ability to work in a standing position for hours at a time.
- Accountability and personal integrity are essential as the nature of the position allows access to a client's personal and private information.
- Ability to multitask and tend to several customers at once.
- Experience driving vehicles with both manual and automatic transmission.
- Organizational skills are necessary to quickly recall the location of vehicles and their appropriate keys.
Additional Job Details
- Average hourly rate will range from $15 - $30 an hour (rate calculated including indirect & direct tips)
