What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Manager position at Rust-Oleum?
JOB PURPOSE
This individual will report into the VP of SIOP. (S)he will oversee all the processes and data feeding into SIOP and coordination of other Supply Chain Centers Of Excellence (COE). This will be accomplished by leveraging a range of digital technologies in support of the larger digital supply chain to ensure speed, agility, and transparency with Rust-Oleum’s supply chain management. The function will liaise between the various departments involved in the company’s internal supply chain to ensure alignment and achievement of business goals.
KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Work with the VP of SIOP to develop and execute the long-term vision of Supply, Inventory, and Operational Planning at Rust-Oleum.
- Responsible for and resolve issues between other Supply Chain COE (Demand, Supply, and Inventory).
- Drive the design and continuous improvement of Supply Chain processes through policies/procedures to ensure the company is positioned grow 2X maintaining 98% service levels while minimizing inventory and capital investment.
- Manage the SIOP COE ensuring all functions are aligned to meet long term objectives monitored through the SIOP monthly cycle.
- Configure data to report out at an aggregate level across Families (Demand, Supply, and Capacity) in the SIOP process.
- Support key initiatives within the S&OP team to ensure collaboration between Purchasing, Supply Planning, Product Management, Operations, Demand Planning, Finance, and Logistics.
- Develop and implement best practices across the network.
- Inspire a shared vision and manage change across multiple functions and businesses.
- Manage key work streams tied to SIOP to ensure consistent and reliable data reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other related business discipline.
- Certifications: APICS, Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred
- Experience:
- 10 years Supply Chain experience in Demand forecasting/ Supply Planning/ Inventory Management
- 5 year experience working in a mature S&OP/SIOP/IBP Process
- Demonstrated Project Management experience focused in Supply Chain and S&OP/SIOP/IBP process.
- Demand and Supply Planning consumer products into a retail environment
- Implement systems to standardize, manage, and document process.
