Essential Job Functions:
- Build and administer an online data collection program, including a large in-house panel, to gather information related to ongoing and ad hoc projects that include guest experience surveys, national tracking studies, pricing studies, and new product development studies.
- Independently design, develop, implement and execute primary research projects. Establish research methodologies, study specifications, procedures, timelines, and necessary tools for effectively meeting research objectives. Develop survey questionnaires for a variety of data collection modes, program surveys, analyze data, and report on the results.
- Work closely with internal clients (including mid-, senior-, and executive-level leaders) to develop and implement research studies that touch on key business issues. Anticipate client needs; provide advice about use/application of research; and integration with business processes.
- Develop reliable new methodologies and data collection tools for large-scale projects without readily available precedents.
- Manipulate, transform, analyze and report on a continuous stream of incoming qualitative and quantitative data related to guest satisfaction, guest origin, market trends, economic data, competitive activity, and other topics of relevance to the company.
- Monitor secondary sources for consumer trends, industry trends, brand/product/category developments, and competitor marketing and research activities.
- Combine customer-based information with understanding and insights into the industry and company to make appropriate recommendations and influence client’s decision making processes.
- Design, propose, oversee and report on research projects; direct and/or undertake specialized analyses to meet business goals; develop and direct methods for diffusion of learning.
- Proactively and regularly communicate research findings to applicable stakeholders.
- Oversee relationships with external research vendors—direct review and selection process; negotiate contracts; judge effectiveness of operations, accuracy, and quality controls; identify implementation problems and resolutions.
- Prepare and track departmental and project-level budgets and use of resources.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated hands-on ability to design studies, implement methodologies, write questionnaires, analyze data, and report on qualitative and quantitative results.
- Experience preparing online and paper questionnaires a plus.
- Must be a self-starter with a whatever-it-takes-to-get-it-finished-on-time attitude.
- Expertise with a statistical package (e.g., SPSS, Q, STATA, etc.) for analytics (e.g., multi-variate regressions, logistic regressions, cluster analysis, factor analysis, etc.)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to schedule, prioritize, and manage simultaneous projects.
- Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact and influence effectively with all management levels, external partners, and personality types
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to travel occasionally, as required
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Research, Statistics or related field required; MBA or MMR preferred.
- 5-7 years of professional marketing research on client or vendor side required
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Work is performed in a hybrid office/work from home or a fully remote environment.
- Position involves encounters with members at every level of the organization, vendors, and members of the public, and requires a sense of responsibility to provide a high level of customer service and accurate information
- This position requires a professional approach and demeanor under all conditions
Salary is based on experience. This role is not open to be performed in Colorado.
