Job Brief
Class B Delivery Driver delivers dairy and associated products to super markets, convenience stores, institutions etc., that are pre-ordered and on a delivery schedule.
Responsibilities
- Delivers dairy and associated products by straight truck.
- Loads and unloads truck.
- Maintains clean working environment in truck and reports all deficiencies.
- Performs paperwork associated with deliveries.
- Moves products to refrigeration at accounts by hand truck or pallet jack.
- Responsible for food safety as well as product quality as presented during GMP training, HACCP training, SQF training and Chemical/Sanitation training.
- Responsible for Distribution records and Quality records as assigned.
Qualifications
- No specific education; GED preferred
- Straight truck delivery experience required
- Prior experience/knowledge of route delivery helpful
- Read, write, and comprehend English
- Ability to communicate with customers in a courteous and cooperative manner
- Work early morning hours until completion of the assigned route
- Work schedule will be on a rotating day off basis
Physical Requirements
- Must have CDL Class B license and clean driving record
- Read, write, and comprehend English
- Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs. and carry 24-50 lbs.
- Able to work outdoors for extended periods in various temperatures
