Since 2014, RW Gate Company has designed and manufactured the highest quality water control gates and related equipment used in water control systems. In a short time, we have become a leader in the Water and Wastewater industry. Due to rapid growth, we are looking to fill positions in our Engineering Department.
This position is responsible for managing the flow of information on a project beginning after order entry with product engineering, through the submittal and approvals process, the development of information and drawings for manufacturing and maintaining customer contact through the shipment and installation of high quality water control gates for the RW Gate Company customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interface with sales representatives, contractors, consulting engineers, and end users on issues ranging from product specifications, RW Gate Co production status, and installation.
- Prepare submittal packages (including CAD drawings, calculations).
- Prepare manufacturing data / project release packets.
- Be the primary point of contact on product quality/performance questions.
- Manage deadlines for all assigned project tasks.
- Prepare and submit Operations & Maintenance manuals for assigned projects.
- Assist Sales department.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering.

Education and Training
- Associates Degree in Engineering with Project Manager and/ or manufacturing experience in fabricated metal product. (Water control gates for the water and wastewater industry is preferred.)
Or
- Minimum of 5 years production experience and Project Manager experience in fabricated water control gates for the water and wastewater industry (preferred)
Or
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical (preferred) or Civil Engineering
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both external and internal customers
- Good time management skills, ability to multi –task is very important
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings and construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to utilize Engineering software
- Process Improvement skills (Lean, etc.)
- Experience in an ISO environment helpful
