What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at RWJBarnabas Health?
The Cook will assist in accurately and efficiently preparing, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: to include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events. The general responsibilities of the position include those included in job specifics, but Executive Chef may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
Ability to prepare quality food for patients, visitors and staff, following HACCP and recipe standards. Must also be able to stand 8 hours on feet and have proper equipment and person personal protection to do the job. Cook needs to work in a fast paced environment and be able to put out quality food in a timely manner.
