Health Information Management provides tools to simplify release-of-information, chart tracking, and chart deficiency tasks. The HIM Coding Application involves utilizing specialized workflows to assign various procedure and diagnostic codes to a patient record to ensure accurate reimbursement.
Role Description
The Credentialed Trainer is responsible for providing staff education on the Epic Electronic Medical Record application. This staff education will primarily be delivered in-classroom. This position requires a commitment to work full time alongside training and other operational and IT professionals.
Qualifications
Education
Preferred: Bachelor s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
Minimum: Associate s degree with three (3) or more years of related work experience
Work Experience:
Preferred: Two (2) years training experience, preferably in a health care setting
Minimum: One (1) year relevant experience
Preference for knowledge of current inpatient clinical system workflows and processes
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) required
Licenses and Certifications
Minimum: Obtaining applicable certification as a Certified Trainer will be an expectation of the role
Applicant is expected to maintain certification as current by completing New Version Training (NVT), as applicable
For clinical applications, clinical licensure is preferred

Ability to conduct engaging and effective training sessions to diverse audiences including management staff, nurses, medical assistants, ancillary support staff, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists and others.
Preference for experience in adult education
Outstanding customer service, people and organizational skills.
Self-motivated and detail oriented skills are required.
