We are looking for a Program Manager to join our growing team. You will manage the day-to-day off of multiple programs within contract requirements.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate as a team member or leader in bid and proposal activities. Ensure all requirements for proposals are met for existing customers.
- Continuously look for new business in coordination with Sales and represent management at program reviews, meetings, seminars, etc.
- Prepare contract/subcontract negotiations following the company's interest and verify all government regulatory guidance is met.
- Handle and control contract budgets for labor, material, travel, and purchased services. Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risk during the program life cycle. Manage approvals making decisions that will deteriorate established program, cost, and schedule objectives.
- You should ensure the overall execution of material on schedule and on budget, collaborate tasks with project teams, and complete various changes.
- Work with management to resolve schedule and budget problems when they arise. Write corrective action plans when deviations from budgets and/or schedules are needed.
- Perform variance analysis of schedule and cost to present to management and serve as the primary contact for the customer on matters involving contract execution. Work with departments for contractual problems with the customer.
- Work with administration for contract requirements, changes, and interpretations. Assure all criteria are met with appropriate regulations and policies, and procedures.
- Be a leader to the program or project team and communicate and cooperate with team members to resolve conflict. Ensure a quick closeout of completed programs to ensure obligations are met and documentation is recorded.
- Develop lagging indicators, and execute program corrective action strategies.
- Handle planning process and system improvements, develop and understand principles of program planning, broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline, plus a working knowledge of other related fields.
- Knowledge of cash flow management principles, support, communication, reinforce, and defending the organization's mission, values, and culture.
- It may require 5 years in the DoD program and/or materials management and production manufacturing operation utilizing MRP/ERP.
- It may require knowledge of DoD FAR procurement regulations, MRP/ERP with a solid understanding of electro-mechanical assembly operations, bills of material, demand material planning, and the supply chain purchasing process.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of program management tools and procedures, solid leadership and management skills.
- Experience with program lifecycle from creation to completion.
- Experience with cost accounting and reporting; experience with metrics program progress, productivity, and analysis.
- Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and presentation skills.
- Experience with Client planning, project reviews, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Ability to manage aerospace/defense programs as a prime or subcontractor to a domestic or foreign military organization.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Program Management certification preferred (i.e., PMP or DAU).
