MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews and follows electrical drawings, BOMs, and work orders to assemble and install electrical wiring and related components on industrial blasting machines
- Measures, cuts, and bends conduit as required
- Routes and pulls wiring through conduit and wireways
- Determine the location of the conduit and electrical boxes and drill/tap holes as required for proper mounting
- Connects wiring to accessories, such as relays, circuit breakers, plugs, switches, and solenoids, and installs accessory assemblies
- Conduct functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies
- Assist machine operators as required
- Promptly report material shortages
- Perform plant maintenance activities within the scope of capabilities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a high school education
- 3-5 years of electrical or electro-mechanical assembly experience is required
- Must be able to read and interpret schematics and drawings
- Must have a thorough knowledge of electricity and of electro-mechanical equipment
- Familiarity and understanding of NFPA70 NEC electrical standards
- Must be able to use measuring tools
- Must have a strong working knowledge of pneumatics and electrical assemblies
- Forklift operation experience is ideal but not required
