We are looking for a Lead Controls Engineer that will give technical mentorship and direction in Controls Engineering design to promote the overall manufacture and design of custom high-pressure equipment, which includes Pressure Vessels, Metal Diaphragm Compressors, Cold Isostatic Presses, Containment Cells, and Reactors, etc. Excellent technical abilities are required, along with the capability to reach deadlines and solve intricate problems.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Create the control requirements and specifications to create the overall process course and functions of intricate compressor-based process systems and components.
Guide the design to develop, specify, and document the controls integration equipment and logic abilities for applicable operation and reach customer contract requirements.
Create the control narrative for the PLC control programs, DI-DO, scope Input/Output, and AI-AO specifications to make certain of collaboration and integration in SCADA and HMI customer systems to reach project specifications.
Compose and create commissioning and test manuals.
Incorporate and coincide client requirements with limitations and capabilities of manufacturing processes and utilize continuous improvement efforts to deliver work products.
Comprehend the effects on other engineering fields to allow partnership on a unified solution.
Help with problem-solving to find root causes and put in place corrective initiatives as needed.
Give support in the creation of standard procedures involving our equipment that can grow the creation of standard product offerings.
Stay up to date on new practices, technology, and techniques.
Give mentorship to early career engineers.
Regular attendance, professionalism, and punctuality are required.
Observes all policies and procedures.
Operates in a safe manner in all conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS
BSc. or MSc. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or relevant discipline required.
At least 15 years experience in development, design of hardware controls, and logic programming of process control systems for large projects.
Understanding of process instrumentation, including valves, temperature monitoring devices, pressure monitoring devices, and motor control hardware.
Several PLC platform programming experiences and expertise.
Prior experience with 2D CAD is required, and experience with 3D modeling is a plus.
Working knowledge of process industry instruments and electrical criteria, including hazardous area guidelines such as ASME B31.3, CGA, and NFPA 2.
Outstanding computer skills with a strong understanding of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products (or similar drafting software).
Must be able to communicate technical concepts (verbal and written) well.
Must be able to oversee several projects concurrently.
Prior experience with Hydrogen is desired.
Practical with outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills and must be able to exercise and display sound judgment.
Must be able to work well independently and in a team setting.
Prior experience with Microsoft Office and related technology.
Must be able to work in a continuous state of attentiveness and in a safe manner.
Must be able to work well under time restrictions in a high-volume setting with several priorities.
Must be able to work in the United States or applicable country of assignment.
Must be flexible in working schedule and be available to work across all shifts, weekends, etc., based upon business operational needs and may be required to operate at various locations.
