As the Analyst, Procurement, you will coordinate the purchasing activities associated with supply-based performance. You’ll create purchase orders, monitor supplier metrics, resolve problems with the delivery of goods and/or services, and work with other functional areas as necessary to ensure service level objectives are met. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Handle and monitor blanket and discrete purchase orders
- Monitor Carrier supplier performance
- Oversee the implementation of corrective actions to ensure service performance
- Act as the primary point of contact between carriers and the company
- Work with Customer Service and program participants to resolve critical carrier supply issues
- Communicate carrier non-compliance to Procurement Manager
- Report out regularly on Carrier Issues and KPI’s
- Gain a clear understanding of the customer’s network, operations, carrier base, modes, strategies, and challenges
- Interact with senior procurement management, account management, customer associates and carriers
- Delegate daily load assignments to Carrier Reps and work with the Ops & Sales teams to find capacity options on every load, every time
What you need to succeed at RXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 1 year of experience as a carrier buyer
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
It’d be a great if you also have:
- Availability to travel
- Ability to communicate effectively across the organization
