As a Director, Accounting at RXO, you will use your knowledge and experience to guide us on the road to success. We want to leverage your skills and years of experience to drive positive results while ensuring a bright future for yourself and RXO.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Responsible for the month-end close process of Corporate Accounting
- Review and approve monthly JEs
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation reviews
- Conduct detailed P&L, balance sheet, and statement of cash flow reviews / analysis.
- Work with external auditors on quarterly and annual audit requests
- Responsible for SOX compliance for Corporate Accounting
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP
What you'll need to excel:
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent related work or military experience
- CPA certification
- 7 years of manager level experience in public accounting or industry, preferably for a public company
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle G/L and HFM) and Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel
- Ability to work cross functionally - FP&A, Treasury, Operations, Executive leadership
It'd be great if you also have:
- Experience in equity compensation accounting, lease accounting, fixed assets, internally developed software, self-insured insurance reserves, intercompany transactions, cash management
- Experience performing under tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment; experience quickly learning and achieving proficiency in new software applications
- Experience developing insightful, valuable, and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of the results; experience producing unambiguous, comprehensive, and accurate interpretations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
- Attention to detail partnered with curiosity to identify and ownership to resolve problems.
