We need a talented individual to fill the role of National Account Manager for Ryan Herco Flow Solutions. This National Account Manager (NAM) role is a sales and business development position tasked with identifying and engaging prospective national accounts with the objective of securing a national business relationship in alignment with RHFS' national account criteria. Successful business relationships would come in the form of contractual agreements, preferred supplier status, strategic supplier designation, sole source provider, pricing agreements, second tier supplier or other similar mutual business agreements.
In this position, you will:
Responsibilities:
- Overnight travel as needed to secure new relationships and business = ~30% - 60%
- Identify & secure new business volumes with national accounts
- Building relationships with all levels of customer(s) organizations
- Work with NAM regularly to develop, define & refine sales plans, activities, prices, margins, etc.
- Work with FSRs, DMs and RSMs to develop sales & margins in new & existing national accounts
- Work with Pricing & Margin Teams to set up and maintain national account pricing and margins
- Work with National Sales Coordinator as needed to support projects and opportunities
- Work with key vendors to ID opportunities, network, prospect, and secure new agreement opportunities
- Lead RHFS/Customer rollouts of new partnerships/programs; make joint calls with local FSRs
- Build & maintain account profiles for national accounts; facilitate local RHFS sales engagement
- Maintain ongoing communication with all RHFS Depts to resolve account issues, opportunities, needs, etc.
- Participate in ongoing personal development, training & education to improve skills & experience
- Communicate activities, progress, challenges, roadblocks, and successes with NAM regularly
Requirements:
- 10 years of outside sales, B2B experience in a technical sales & distribution environment
- Fluid process industry experience required. (PVF, Automation, Filtration, Pumps, etc.)
- Demonstrable track record of incremental success meeting sales goals and building relationships
- Demonstrable knowledge of industry innerworkings; companies, processes, products, markets, etc.
- Comfortable making large numbers of cold calls, forming new relationships, following direction
- Strong networking & prospecting skills, self-motivated, hardworking, excellent listening skills
- Quick learner, aggressive listener, detail oriented, results driven, relationship builder
- Collaboration & networking skills above average. Humble & Selfless. Desire to help others succeed
- Effective communicator, coach & quarterback. Able to lead and follow as necessary
- Assertive, fair, reasonable, diplomatic, objective, inquisitive, and accountable
- Proficient with MS Teams, Excel & PowerPoint
- Large account management experience is a plus
- Hydraulics, pneumatics, hose, filtration, and automation experience is a plus
- Liked by customers, respected by peers, appreciated by vendors, and feared by competitors.
