SUMMARY
The Billing Analyst's main responsibility is to provide customized invoice spreadsheets that have been specifically requested from each customer. This type of invoice supplies the customer with KPI's that will allow them to more effectively manage their business. This is an added value that was created for the customer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Analyzes customers' billing processes to discuss key aspects of financials in order to recommend key aspects of financial improvements, including reducing costs and maximizing profitability.
Researches and resolves billing discrepancies and recommends process improvements.
Generates KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and other statistical data for customers.
Analyzes the various revenue buckets that are billed to customers on a weekly basis, including revenue and commodity code analysis.
Conducts research and compiles data in order to prepare customized reports.
Ad Hoc requests and special projects as necessary.
Conducts weekly audits of route details which directly correlate to the customers' invoice.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use Excel to compare large amounts of data, identify issues, and provide value added recommendations for management 35%
- Analyze process streams between Lease Admin and Contractual Rates to identify gaps and implement process changes 20%
- Independently manage projects, create business cases/executive presentations to implement process changes 15%
- Prepares metrics and reporting for management 10%
- Manages the effectiveness of process controls and incorporates best practices 10%
- Manage vehicle administration ad hoc requests for approval/denial 10%
ADDITONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as liaison between Lease Admin team and Contractual Rates team to recommend and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency in the setup of contractual rates
- Lead and/or participate in strategizing and testing of projects to include department, SSC, division and corporate initiatives
- May function as a Lead, providing guidance and support to lower level employees
- May develop documentation and user manuals as directed
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree shown as preferred, not required.
