Summary
The Billing Analyst's main responsibility is to manage a billing portfolio of customers. The number of customers can flex at any time, but analyst will remain aligned to field finance manager. Job responsibilities may also vary customer to customer, dependent upon contractual requirements, analyst will need to collaborate with payroll specialists and run specialized audit reports to ensure data integrity before preparing final invoice documents. Customer materials may include: customized invoice spreadsheets KPI's that will allow them to more effectively manage their business, and other value added internal and external customer reports.
Essential Functions
- Analyzes customers' billing processes to discuss key aspects of financials in order to recommend key aspects of financial improvements, including reducing costs and maximizing profitability.
- Researches and resolves billing discrepancies and recommends process improvements.
- Generates KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and other statistical data for customers.
- Analyzes the various revenue buckets that are billed to customers on a weekly basis, including revenue and commodity code analysis. Confirms all contractual rates and quantities are accurate in invoicing system
- Conducts research and compiles data in order to prepare customized reports.
- Ad Hoc requests and special projects as necessary.
- Conducts weekly audits of route details which directly correlate to the customers' invoice.

Skills and Abilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required related field
- 2-4 years of experiences in lieu of bachelor's degree required
- Knowledge of Transportation Management preferred; financial and accounting procedures required
- Intermediate to Expert Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft programs required
- Adobe or equivalent electronic data management programs required
