Summary
The Buyer for Contingent Labor Services will be responsible for managing the procurement process for temporary staffing needs. The role will involve sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and managing contracts with staffing agencies to ensure the availability of qualified and skilled temporary and contract labor. The Buyer will work closely with the operations teams to determine if staffing needs are being met, monitor performance metrics to optimize staffing cost and efficiency.

Essential Functions
- Research internal business need and market trends to recommend sourcing strategy for assigned category. Present recommendation to management and senior leadership and execute overall sourcing plan. Generate and analyze reports on staffing costs, trends, and performance metrics. Use data analytics to provide insights and make informed decisions about staffing strategies.
- Assist in the Design RFPs/ RFQs events as needed to meet project needs. Review supplier proposals, including the underlying financial model to develop spend and/or saving targets. Calculate, track and record monthly savings to assess relative performance to target.
- Collaborate with cross-functions to resolve supply or performance issues, review and influence recovery plans both internally and with suppliers.
- Engage suppliers to meet Ryder's business needs and drive improvements in quality, capacity, capability, and cost.
- Monitor market trends and conditions to ensure that contract portfolio is benchmarked appropriately
- Review and negotiate staffing contracts and agreements.
- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews of staffing agencies.

Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma/GED
- Bachelor's degree Preferred, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or related field
- Master's degree preferred Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field
- Seven (7) years or more Purchasing of Contingent Labor Services and management of providers plus H.S. Diploma
- Three (3) years or more Purchasing, Sourcing or Supply Management plus Bachelors Degree
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) advanced required
- Business Analysis Tools: Tableau / MS Power BI intermediate preferred
- Understanding of sourcing processes and events intermediate required
- Basic knowledge of labor laws and regulations in staffing processes
- Contracting Process
- CPSM, CCWP or other professional supply management or purchasing certificate - upon hire , preferred

Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market
data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or
certifications, etc. The salary for this position ranges from $55K to $75K
