\n \nSummary
\n \nThe Finance Segment Manager position leads processes to include the development of accounting, evaluation, assessment, and planning of financial performance for dedicated warehousing and transportation segments of Ryder’s Supply Chain CPG division.
\n \nThis position is based in Woodridge, IL, and would be a hybrid onsite/remote position for local candidates, and management is willing to consider remote applicants able to travel periodically to Chicago area
\n \nEssential Functions
\n \n\n- \n
- Report out monthly financial statements and review various month end reports including actual vs. budget variances \n \n
- Review customer profitability and provide analysis on developing trends \n \n
- Assist in closing of monthly financial books and balance sheet account reconciliations \n \n
- Annual budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting balance of year financials \n \n
- Review and approve customer billing as needed \n \n
- Labor cost review and analysis \n \n
- Responsible for proposal of strategic alternatives to enhance Ryder’s market position \n \n
- Provide actionable competitive analysis and insights to feed strategy development and facilitate tactical decision-making, periodic and ad-hoc analysis, and reporting \n \n
- Provide on-going business analysis to develop recommendations to operations and leadership team for alternative scenarios surrounding profit improvement and shareholder value creation \n \n
- Participate in various miscellaneous projects as required \n \n
- Develop ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested by leadership \n \n
- Performs other duties as assigned \n \n\n
Skills and Abilities
\n \n\n- \n
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products \n \n
- Must possess strong problem-solving skills and technical abilities \n \n
- Strong oral and written communications skills \n \n
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors) \n \n
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team \n \n
- Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment \n \n
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills \n \n
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices \n \n\n
Qualifications
\n \n\n- \n
- Bachelor's degree required in related field \n \n
- MBA is a plus \n \n
- Three (3) years or more experience in a corporate Finance Department within a Fortune 500 Company or consulting firm preferred \n \n\n
Travel
\n \n\n- \n
- Less than 5% for local candidates, 5-10% for remote candidates \n \n\n

\n \nSalary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or certifications, etc. The salary for this position ranges from $58k to $90k.
\n \nSalaries may be supplemented with a bonus as applicable and/or as business conditions allow.
