Summary
The Technical Writer is responsible for creating, maintaining and populating all application solutions for Ryder business. In addition, this person will work with Ryder IT, Security, Platform Engineering and leadership to ensure there are no risks while streamlining remediation efforts. Highly detailed technical writer that will leverage experience and relationships to document both enterprise as well as citizen developed technology process and flows.
Essential Functions
- Interface with subject matter experts, management, and end users to develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of product functions, features, and architecture
- Write, edit, publish, and/or maintain technical documentation related to internal products developed in a variety of applications
- Develop network architecture diagrams and data flowcharts using Microsoft Visio and related tools
- Develop/maintain standardized tools and processes for data collection, project tacking and reporting
- Perform QA on existing documentation and interface with subject matter experts to clarify discrepancies
- Communicate with Senior level management regarding security remediation measures and provide status updates.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Provide training on updated processes as needed
Skills and Abilities
- Strong training/instructional design skills
- Experience developing/implementing documentation processes and standards
- Strong software skills, including expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or IT
- Master's degree preferred Communications or related field
- Five (5) years or more Technical communication experience, with a specific focus in software/application documentation to include: writing, editing, finalizing, and/or publishing a wide range of internal and client-facing documents (user guides, programmer’s references, training plans, etc.), and designing training presentations, infographics, instructional diagrams, etc. required

data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or
certifications, etc.
The salary for this position ranges from $105,000.00 - 140,000.00k . Employees may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, as applicable.
