Summary

The User Experience Lead will be responsible for the conceptualizing, designing, prototyping, and delivering of compelling and intuitive digital products and experiences. The User Experience Lead is a problem solver that is organized, detailed and extremely collaborative. This role brings deep subject matter expertise to the organization, adept at executing as well as sharing expertise with others. They must also be passionate, positive and capable of making complex things simple for all users. They will be expected to present work to stakeholders and represent the creative process at all stages of engagement. This role will assist in developing the tools, components, documentation, and educational materials that will enable designers and engineers to create world-class experiences and to help create, evolve, and scale our design system.

Essential Functions

  • Create – and direct the creation of - detailed navigation flows, site maps, user stories, wireframes, mockups, user flow diagrams, and interactive prototypes that are user centric and proactively solve for the more complex experiences.
  • Play a key role in creating a design system that will be used across products and other experiences. You’ll help create the finer details of component design and implementation, and work on other tools to support the design system.
  • Partner with designers, product managers and engineers to test, define, design, and build components.
  • Optimize existing user interface designs and test new ideas before implementing.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers to share information, evaluate the feasibility of proposed designs, and champion great UX in the face of technical constraints.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Hands-on experience contributing to design systems including building adoption, guiding contribution and maintaining component libraries
  • Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) is a plus (preferred)
  • Rapid wireframing and UI prototyping to produce interactive experiences for usability testing
  • Strong visual/verbal communicator with strong presentation, negotiation, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled at anticipating and designing for user needs by incorporating research, strategy and analytics
  • Expert knowledge working in design tools such as Invision, Sketch, Figma or similar
  • Able to provide a portfolio of design projects based on web / mobile applications
  • Invision, Figma, and Sketch advanced required
  • Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator advanced required
  • React, HTML, JavaScript, & CSS intermediate required

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required Vocational training in related field
  • Bachelor's degree preferred Psychology, Interaction Design, Visual Design, human-computer interaction (HCI), Computer Science or UX degree
  • Five (5) years or more As a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar UX-related role. required
  • Seven (7) years or more Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers. required
  • Seven (7) years or more Proven experience showing clear understanding of the intersection between user needs, technology requirements, and business goals. required
  • Three (3) years or more Directly contributing to design and front-end components in React and Figma. required
  • Invision, Figma, and Sketch advanced required
  • Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator advanced required
  • React, HTML, JavaScript, & CSS intermediate required
  • Other UX / UI Training

Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market

data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or

certifications, etc.

The salary for this position ranges from $125,000.00 - 150,000.00k . Employees may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, as applicable.
