Position Description

We have an opening for a Regional Class A CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Driver to join us at Ryder in Kingman AZ

You might be wondering what your paycheck will look like. 

$1400 or more per week - And it gets better

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly 
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.50 per Mile with 2080 miles Per Week 
• Solo Stops Pay: $21.14 Per Stop with 17 stops Per Week
• Per Diem Pay: $26.75 per night with 3 nights per Week   
• Delay Pay after 45 minutes
• Retention Bonus: $3000 pays you $750 Four Times A Year, Every Quarter
• Referral Program Amount: $3000
• Paid Training
• Paid Time Off Starts DAY ONE - 80 hours accrued in 1st year
• Comprehensive Health Benefits start at 30 Days

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800 Maintenance Facilities. 

• Delivery SOLO To: AZ, CA, NV, UT and NM
• Tractor Type: 2018 - 2020 Sleepers
• Trailer Type: 28’, 48' and 53’ Dry Van    
• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack and Lift Gate 
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight: Mix of Touch/Tailgate Deliveries - Hardware Store Supplies 
• Endorsements: Hazmat - Within 90 Days of Hire 
• We Reimburse Cost and Provide Training Support for Endorsements

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note:  Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
