Position Description

Your probably wondering what your paycheck will look like..

Weekly Pay $1700 to $2000 per week

And it gets better - 

Load Runs Supporting Routes:

• Hourly Pay: $25.00 or more per hour based on route
• Overtime Paid for hours worked over 40 hours each week

Transfer Routes:

• Miles Pay: $0.53 per Mile on Equipment Transfer Runs

All Routes Pay:

• Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Per Diem: NOT TAXED $50.00 each Working Day
• Per Diem: NOT TAXED $25.00 each Non-Working Day when Traveling
• Every Travel Assignment: Up to 16 hours of Travel Time. We pay you to arrive at assignment and to return home
• Paid Training

On Route for three weeks and back home for one full week

All Travel is Booked and Paid for by Ryder to arrive, support and return back from the assignment

• Hotel, Rental Car, Flight
• Baggage, Rental Fuel, Uber Reimbursement Plan

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800 Maintenance Facilities.

• Local, Regional, OTR, Shuttle Work, Yard Support, Transfer/Driveaway

• Fruit, Vegetables, Frozen Foods, Perishables, Automotive Parts, Building Materials, Hardware Tools/Supplies, Motorcycles, Trikes, Palletized Retail Goods, Tires, Plants, Flowers, and more
• Trailer type: All Types: Dry Van, Flatbed, Reefer, etc.
• Equipment: Will Work with Both Manual and Automatic

This Class A Driver position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note:  Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
