Ryder is hiring a 1st Shift Inventory Clerk in Mount Pleasant, SC!
This position reports to the Operations Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining and balancing the inbound and outbound process of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to insure daily production needs are met, provide timely communications to other departments and leadership personnel, and support all other warehouse operation functions and personnel as assigned.
About the position:
- Consistent pay: $16.40/hour
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be comfortable using a computer (Outlook & Excel specifically)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Good customer service/communication skills
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision and be accountable
- Other requirements:
- Must be able to pass criminal background check
- Must have a clear MVR and pass Ryder's Motor Vehicle Report Check

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) years or more of warehouse and forklift experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to:
- Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors)
- Work independently and as a member of a team
- Flexibility to operate, and self-driven to excel, in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to multi-task and highly organized, with excellent time management skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel) and WMS systems (intermediate level)
- Other equipment certification may be required
- Safety sensitive position
- Non-Regulated Tech; depending on location, may be required to operate equipment and to be equipment certified
Responsibilities
• Work closely with Operations Supervisor to ensure the work load is being distributed properly and evenly by managing WMS down to the floor• Monitor WMS forecasted workloads inbound and outbound to ensure adequate utilization of facility and transportation resources • Work closely with the inventory department and on-site personnel to resolve and problems with the day's orders• Interact with the customer to communicate order changes and updates• Maintain various Excel spreadsheets and reports• Perform other duties as required or assigned• Assist in supporting standard facility Key Performance Indicators (KPI) which consistently meet/exceed established goals in safety, quality, sanitation and maintenance• Support supervisors and warehouse associates to complete daily operation functions• Perform other duties as assigned
