Transfer Driver

Immediately Hiring and Seating a Class A CDL Shuttle Driver and we want the right Transfer Driver to join us at Ryder in Shreveport, LA

• 
  Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Home Time: Local - Home Daily
• Picking up parts
• Test drive trucks from shop
  
• Transferring trucs from a customer site to a Ryder shop or delivery to a customer location
• 5 days a week
  • Mondays 7am-3:30pm
  • Tuesdays-Thurdays 9am-5:30pm
  • Fridays 10am-6:30pm
• $19 per hour
• All Training is Paid Hourly Rate

• Freight: No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement
• Route: Shuttle Equipment Rental trucks transferred between Ryder locations, or delivered to a customers lot.
• Transferring Empty rental equip/delivering trucks to customers, parts (straight trucks, vans, day cabs, sleepers, cabovers, etc.. based on what needs to be transferred)

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
Important Note: Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.
Responsibilities:
• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service
Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs Other tasks as assigned
