What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Jockey Driver position at Ryder?
We have an opening for a SOLO Yard Jockey in York, PA and we want the right Driver to join us at Ryder
Pay: $1,375 Per Week With Earnings On:
- Hourly Pay: $25.00 Per Hour
- Hours Per Week: 50-60 hours per week; AM Shift
- Sign On Bonus: Pays you $2,500 at 30 days and $2,500 at 90 days
- Schedule: Monday – Friday; Weekends As Needed
NO Freight - No Touch - Yard Work

Requirements:
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Yard Driver Examination
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
- This position is primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard and within an area
- The position requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
- Maintaining accurate records and logs
- Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records Other tasks as assigned
