Responsibilities:

- Reviews, prepares and processes payroll using Paychex and ADP: checks timesheets for accuracy, completeness and approvals, generates payroll, reconciles Paychex/ADP against source data (SpringAhead) before submitting.
- Maintains payroll checklists (Excel).
- Ensures compliance with all applicable multi-state and federal wage and hour laws; keeps informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process.
- Verifies hours worked, paid time off, deductions, and pay adjustments.
- Enters, maintains, and/or processes information on the Paychex and ADP platforms: including new hires, terminations, employee rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses, holidays, deductions, withholdings, workers comp codes, address changes, and other information.
- Processes time off requests.
- Prepare payments for consultant & contractor invoices, ensuring authorization and based on contractually agreed amounts as per contract.
- Handles direct deposit requests and data
- Processes paper checks as needed for offboarding employees.
- Processes wage garnishments.
- Provides information to employees and managers on payroll matters and tax issues
- Ensures all taxes are processed and paid by payroll service providers.
- Conducts quarterly and year-end payroll tasks.
- Serves as the team lead for all payroll functions.
- Serves as backup to the Benefits Administrator.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience processing time & attendance system on a semi-monthly payroll schedule
